Rainbow on Mars

The poster image is a closeup photograph of a human eye looking directly at the camera. A sense of wonder emanates. The eye is framed by black eyelashes against white skin. On the upper eyelid, along the lash line, runs a sleek black line of makeup and above it, rainbow-coloured eyeshadow. The iris of the eye is blue. But wait: the blue of the iris is not an iris, it’s a blue skirt! Upon closer inspection we see a white woman sitting in the centre of the eye. She is in her mid-thirties, dressed in a long-sleeved black body suit and tight black pants with a deep blue long tulle skirt, flowing from her waist and spread out over her legs, pulled into a circle. She, at first blush, looks like a blue circular iris but, upon further inspection, emerges as the iris or, is it the other way around? At the centre of the pupil, as though we’re looking from above, is her face staring directly at us. Her deep brown hair is swept up into a high bun atop her head with brown bangs dusting the top of her brown eyebrows. Her look and smile, more of a smirk, radiates a devilish-intrigue.
