For hundreds of years, the Anishinaabe have shaped trees to mark an important route or event. The Seven Fires Prophecy speaks of a new world in which both western and Indigenous ways of understanding will come together. From the earth, veins of colourful steel rise and intertwine to form a marker tree that resolves as a single branch. Sit. Listen. Ignite. Grow.
The natural logs that surround you bear QR codes that share Phillip Cote’s words about the prophecy and the journeys it foretells.
