In an industry first, Outside the March, The Musical Stage Company and Crow’s Theatre have been commissioned by SickKids Foundation to create a sprawling new immersive theatre experience. I See You showcases Precision Child Health, the new hospital-wide approach that will empower SickKids to diagnose faster, treat smarter and predict better.

Precision Child Health represents an evolution beyond one-size-fits-all medicine—and it’s found a powerful metaphor in immersive theatre. Outside the March has grown a dedicated following with a parallel no-size-fits-all approach to tailored, personal live performance. Tapped by SickKids Foundation for OtM’s depth of experience conjuring place-based narrative creations, we’ve teamed up with collaborators The Musical Stage Company and Crow’s Theatre, deploying our portable Outfit the March gear to transform The Hospital for Sick Children. The performance features a series of deeply personal stories where every child is seen more fully, understood more deeply and treated individually.

Created by a team of Canada’s leading theatre artists, guests will be guided through theatrically-reimagined patient rooms, labs, operating theatres and other rarely-seen areas throughout the hospital. The gravitational centre of the evening is a group of aspiring young performers drawn from SickKids’ own patient ambassadors and alumni. These kids, experts in their own right, will perform alongside a cast of 16 of Canada’s leading actors.

I See You is an exclusive immersive experience created for SickKids’ clinicians, researchers, volunteers, patients, families and supporters. Ontarians can enter a draw to win a limited number of tickets to the experience by visiting SickKidsISeeYou.ca. As part of the entry process, participants are asked to reflect on the urgency of the SickKids mission by sharing their own perspectives on health care and the possibilities of Precision Child Health. Participants will be asked to answer one powerful question: “Why is now the moment?”, and share something that inspires them about the future of care at SickKids. Entries must be completed and submitted by November 13th to secure a chance to win.
